This is a long and rare antique French door curtain / window curtain drape (called portière in French) in a green tone with handmade silk satin floral applications with hand embroidery and bobble trim Early to Mid 1800s Found in a Chateau in the South of France The drape is made in a green tone with handmade floral appications in silk satin with hand embroidery and hand painted details. This represents roses and leaves with with curls and scrolls in soft pastel tones On 1 side border and on the lower border there is a gorgeous bobble trim in warm tones The drape is innerpadded with wool And lined in a beige cotton From a non-smoking home Look at all the stunning details and imagine the hours and hours of work on this fabulous rare piece of handwork!! Easy to attach to a curtain rail with clips or curtain rings Dimensions of the curtain: 132 inches long (3m30) and 48 inches wide (1m20) without the bobbles In a vintage good condition, as shown on the pictures: some tiny stains, a lot of discolouring to the green fabric and to the lining, some stains to the lining and 1 missing bobble, normal seen its age! In my opinion this does not detract from the beauty of this gorgeous window or door curtain Much prettier in reality than on the pictures, believe me! COMING FROM MY PERSONAL COLLECTION IVE HAD THESE ABOUT 6 YEARS IMPORTED DIRECT FROM FRANCE 3 CURTAIN PANELS THEY ARE THE MOST GORGEOUS SILK LACE IN A PEACH OMBRE COLOR WITH DECO DESIGN HEAVILY KNOTTED FRINGE AT BOTTOMS CONDITION VARIES THE LEFT PANEL HAS AUTHENTIC FRENCH METAL RINGS AT TOP THAT I HAVE ADDED, THERE ARE A FEW SMALL BREAKS TO THE LACE THE RIGHT ALSO HAS METAL RINGS, AND THIS ONE HAS QUITE A BIT OF DAMAGE AS SHOWN THE CENTER OANEL IS THE BEST, I NEVER ADDED RINGS TO THIS PIECE, ALTHOUGH THERE IS SOME BLACK STAINING ON THE EDGE THEY ALL SHOW SOME SCATTERED STAINS AS WELL THEY ARE TRULEY AMAZING AND THE 2 CAN BE USED IMMEDIATELY, AND THE OTHER CAN BE REWORKED I HAVE PRICED THESE TO REFLECT THE DAMAGE THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN CLEANED AFTER I IMPORTED THEM AND DO HAVE A STORAGE SMELL AND COULD STAND TO BE AIRED OUT FOR A BIT 83.5\
