These lovely French machine filet lace curtains has a rudimentary tape along the top edge ready to mount on a rod or wire. They are panel curtains with an attached fringed edge but they can easily be shortened by cutting off the existing hem and rehemming. They would be great covering glass cupboard doors, a long French window or French door. They are pristine white but there is some wear to the filet making them not perfect. Unfortunately I did not notice this when I bought them so if you pay the postage I will be happy to sell them. Zoom in for close ups on Filet photo 4, 5 and 6. They are still found in many French houses and are such typical French decor, giving privacy where windows meet pavement, path or garden. They diffuse the sunlight beautifully. Antique French handmade lace window curtain panel with a fabulous floral design, fine intricate detailed arts and crafts panel Early 1900s Sizes : 82.4 inches long (2m06) x 56 inches wide (1m40) The hand embroidered lace is all handworked on a white sheer muslin fabric The scaloped side and lower borders are handworked as well The curtain has a floral design with roses, leaves, garlands of curls and scrolls, all in fine intricate details The more you look, the more you see Look at all the details and imagine the hours and hours of work on this fabulous piece!
