Home stuff
This is an altered art wood box, created to be used as a travel shrine for yourself or a loved one, a unique gift box or home decor, as it can be hanged on on a wall, or displayed anywhere in the house. The front cover is collaged with a beautiful art image of Virgin Mary, with a raised relief halo and clouds created by hand in a special technique and encrusted with small rhinestones. It is further surrounded by a string of rhinestones , a resin rose, and pieces from vintage jewelry decorate the lid over an antique golden background featuring a beautiful script. The special technique was used again to create a raised frame around the edges of the lid, which was painted in antique gold, and incorporates tiny rhinestones..On the inside, the lid is covered with an art image of a beautiful praying angel and a metal four-leaf clover charm. The inside of the box there is a bas-relief of Virgin Mary, modeled in polymer clay, painted in acrylics and highlighted in gold, wearing a tiny metal crown.Its background is a beautiful black and white floral image, with a beaded trim at the top. There’s a a make shift lace curtain and semiprecious stones on her feet. The inside sides are covered in golden German trim. The closure is heavily decorated, and the top of the box is also adorned with rhinestones. The back of the box is covered wit an unusual art image of three angels with deer pins on their chests. A gold covered sterling silver Miraculous Medal hanged from a silver braided hook is added to the closure. It can be used as it was originally intended, on a chain of your choice. The whole box was altered, painted, and it has metal stampings on both sides and on the top. From the top stamping, a multicolored strand of beads from an old rosary is added, so it can be hanged on a wall, if desired. The tin can stand alone as a piece of art, in a vertical or flat position. It can be placed on a shelf, coffee table, hanged on a wall,or can be carried in a purse. It can also carry a small religious pendant or cross, making it a wonderful way of presenting a gift of this nature. It measures 4 1/2x 3 1/2x 1 1/2.
